Dec 17, 2008
Hello all!
First a sincere and happy holidays to every single one of
you. I’ve written a special holiday blog post with one aim
in mind…
To help you get what YOU want in 2009 and to share
some of the secrets that have helped me..
I’ve broken this down into the five golden rules for getting
rich
As we enter 2009 I will have been doing business online
for ten years.
Yes, as my friend Alex Goad called me I am very much an
‘Internet Dinosaur’ !
I wonder what that makes people like John Reese who
started back in 1994 (John dude, you must be from before
the ice age
)
WHERE I’VE COME FROM AND WHAT MAKES MY
POINT OF VIEW WORTH LISTENING TO?
Turning 27 years old I’ve achieved what many people would
typically classify as the ‘dream life style’…
- A luxurious beachfront home
- Owned not one but two beautiful Ferrari’s, a
Porsche Turbo and nearly every other sports
car under the sun.
- My new acquisition this year was a stunning $1.5
million yacht which was always a dream of mine.
Andrew Fox’s Yacht
In fact recently I hosted a very exclusive V.I.P marketing event
featuring the top names in our industry Chris & Ken (Day JobKiller
fame), Michael Cheney, Alex Jeffreys, Mo Latif and Jason James just to
name a few…
Here’s a few pictures of the event.
Michael Cheney thinking he’s the captain

Later that night I had hired a catering company to effectively turn
my house into a 5 star restaurant for the evening.
We were served an excellent full three course meal.

———————————————————————————
GOLDEN RULE OF GETTING RICH #1 – Engineering
your mind the right way- the cornerstone of it all
———————————————————————————
After the event I had people asking “Well was it worth it -
do you think you will make money from it”
Now here is the *KEY* difference between me and the
majority of people out there.
The way people’s brains are traditionally engineered
is as follows..
“If I give you money/my time what are you going to
do for me”
And this mindset goes deep into everything we do in
our daily lives from..
Getting a job – what are my benefits, my perks, my
salary
Dating – I’ll take you out for dinner if you spend time
with me, if I gain favour with you
Now think about this for a moment…
What happens if you were to do the opposite?
When I take people out on my yacht I don’t say
“Please give me money for fuel”
When I had a great bunch of people round for
the catering event after I didn’t say “Please give
me $50 a head”
I focused solely on ONE thing only..
To make sure people enjoyed the day and to
give back to everyone.
To have fun, to network and to chill out.
And I have to thank someone for that.
Over the years there’s been one guy who’s
been awesome to me – his name is Yanik
Silver. A close friend and mentor.
Over the years he’s..
- Taken me on Aston Martin track days
- Paid for countless luxury dinners
- Introduced me to his network of contacts
- Helped me speak at the age of 21 years
old in Las Vegas at Carl Galleti’s marketing
conference.
- Invited me as a VIP guest at his seminars.
Yet never once has he asked for a single cent…he’s
one of the most giving people I’ve ever met.
So if we revert back to the question..
After the event I had people asking “Well
was it worth it – do you think you will
make money from it?”
I can safely say now that if I ever need advice,
a JV promotion from ANY of the guys attending
my event they would bend over backwards to
help.
If I skype Michael Cheney, call Chris McNeeney,
msn Alex Jeffreys, race Yanik Silver in an
Aston track day ( and whip his butt
) these
guys will ALWAYS answer.
You gotta program your mind to GIVE!
Help people get more out of life, and trust me
it will come back 100 times over.
————————————————————————-
GOLDEN RULE OF GETTING RICH #2- Break
the restraints, follow the plan and set a date to
accomplish your goals
————————————————————————
The trap that most people fall into is the “Next week
I’m gonna do this, next month…”
Everyone is guilty of this.
Including myself!
For the last few months I’ve been meaning to add
myself to FaceBook, set up a Twitter account and
get in the groove of Web 2.0
But I’m just been darn lazy!
However I will have done this by the end of January
2009 at the latest.
John Reese just wrote a very interesting blog post
about ‘incremental’ steps to success.
To lose 10 llbs you must lose the first lb first.
To make a million dollars it all starts with the first
$1.
It’s a very simple philosophy but incredibly
powerful!
For example if you want a Ferrari, it may not be
the first sports car you ever buy, you can start
smaller.
I would like a $10 million luxury yacht but at
the moment I’ve just got a $1.5 million one
about (aww life sucks eh …
)
But you see the point.
We all have to start somewhere, so aim and PLAN
to have things done.
Set a date and stick to it as closely as you can.
—————————————————————
GOLDEN RULE OF GETTING RICH #3-
Follow the ‘right’ people and learn from real
life mentors
—————————————————————
I’ve always had a very simple philosophy in life.
“Follow the people that are successful in what you
want to achieve”
For example if you want to learn how to invest
in property, listen to someone who has done it
over YEARS the hard way, made mistakes and
learn from their advice. I only listen to
people I trust 110%.
If you want to learn how to own Ferrari’s and
luxury yachts then follow me (I’ll do my best to
get you there
)
There nothing more I hate than ‘fly by nighters’
who try to claim they are an expert in something
but really don’t have a clue and are just trying to
empty your wallet.
In our industry one of the best guys who has
generated so many success stories is Mike Filsaime.
A great friend and a guy who releases some VERY
high quality material.
You can check out his ‘Instant Affiliate’ website
package aimed at newbies here
———————————————————————————
GOLDEN RULE OF GETTING RICH #4 – Be
willing to invest in yourself and take action
on what you learn.
———————————————————————————
Over the recent months I have purchased..
- Nitro Quattro system -About how to increase
your customer value.
- John Cartlons Simple Writing system
- Frank Kern’s Mass Control Monthly – Just a pile
of rubbish but very entertaining (Just kidding
Franks stuff is really on the cutting edge and worth
every penny)
Here’s the most important lesson to
take away..
Even if I put the material in my computer
watch it and think “Whoah that’s cool Frank
how you sent that email and made $50,000″.
IT WILL NOT MAKE ME A SINGLE PENNY!
You need to take action on what you learn
and implement it in your business.
If you buy an ebook on how to make money
with Google Adwords then take action on it
and try it out!
Which leads me on to the ULTIMATE lesson..
————————————————————————-
GOLDEN RULE OF GETTING RICH #5 – Take
responsibility for your actions and answer
to yourself
————————————————————————–
This is one thing that REALLY bugs me.
And it’s probably the #1 difference between
people who are successful and those that seem
to get no where.
When you buy a new product…
Or get a new piece of software…
You need to take action and use/read the
item you have just purchased to get a
result.
It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t work.
In fact the scary thing is nearly all
entrepreneurs try thing that DONT work!
But they take responsibility say “Ok cool -
I’ve tried that it’s not working so lets move
on”
Rather than the attitude “Nothing ever
works for me – I’m always going to fail”
Even at 15 years old I always told my
school teachers “I am going to have a
Ferrari, I am going to be a millionaire”.
They laughed and thought I was crazy.
But I took responsibility for myself and what
many thought was nothing more than a
pipe dream turned into reality.
Because I accepted the consequences of my
actions and when things don’t work out,
I held my head high and kept going.

GOLDEN RULE OF GETTING RICH #6 -
Buy all of my products and recommendations
———————————————————————

fill with fuel
I need some help with that! Just chuck me over a
few dollars.

G’day Readers
Over the past couple of days i have been checking out a lot of blogs similar to mine, and have found that some of them i really liked, some i found a little boring, but all had one thing in common. Do you wanna know what that one thing was? Well, i’m going to tell you, it was that on all those blogs i found something on each of them that i thought was clever, or a good topic to write about, or an idea for a widget i hadn’t thought of, basically they all had something that i could take with me and learn from or improve my blog with.
What I’m trying to say is that in an online community that is bound by no limits and ever changing, we need to realise that the best way to succeed at what we are trying to achieve is to be open with our ideas and knowledge.
See if it wasn’t for my best friend sharing a internet marketing (IM) niche he found i would probably not be here talking to you right now, i would probably be still slaving away in a job i didn’t like, working long hours and making little or no money at all. But he didn’t and now i am here. And as a nice reward I have been able to assist him with getting his IM biz and my own up and running to a point where in 6mths or so we should both be able to kick back and hopefully semi-retire. Now don’t get me wrong you can’t just make money overnight, but we have set ourselves a goal and working as a team rather than against each other, we hope to be able to achieve our goals sooner rather than later.
Really it’s quite simple, why take the knowledge and ideas of one person when, say the knowledge of three or four is so much more. For example, you may want to post a video or publish an eBook for distribution on your blog. Now you have to find time to write an eBook (or re-brand one), then also make a video and work out how to post it, and that is going to take you a lot of your valuable time. But when you are willing to share your ideas you can also share your work load. While one works on the eBook, the other can be working on how to post a video and make a video.
So you can see a lot can be gained from being willing and open to share your ideas and knowledge and in the end we can all succeed. I know i am willing, so anytime you need a hand just ask. I will always be happy to help.
